The order becomes effective on 24th April 2026 and will remain in force for eighteen months.
The works are expected to commence on 27th April 2026 and last for 6 hours (09:30 - 15:30) to enable Openreach to carry out pole testing works.
The contractor has indicated that access for Emergency Services through the site is permitted on this occasion.

Please be aware that we have received notification of a temporary road closure at Long Street, St. Cuthbert Out for approximately 760 metres, which will commence on 13th April 2026 and is expected to last until 17th April 2026 (between 09:30 to 15.00hrs). These works are for Kiely Bros to carry out phased work including surface dressing, application of Kiely Lock and associated works such as stud removal/renewal and lining works on behalf of Somerset Highways. Solid diamond symbolization will be used on the diversion route, their works reference is LG018SD001396-SD-02.
The road will be reopened when no works are taking place. Signage will be placed on site. There may be a need for additional closures at a later date and if so, a noticfication will be sent for these.
