Extension of Dates and Change of Notice - Emergency Road Closure:  ttro422010E - Kier -Whitstone Hill, Pilton
 

Please be aware that following our previous email, we have received notification of an extension of dates to a emergency road closure at Whitstone Hill, Pilton ​ for approximately 166 metres.

The date for the works is now:  9th March 2026 - 16th March 2026 (09:30 - 23:59). The road will be open over the weekend of 14-15 March. Closure put back in place Monday 16 March between 09.30-15.30 only.

Urgent Road Closure: – ttro422010E - Kier -Whitstone Hill, Pilton

Please be aware that we have received a notification of a TTRN (urgent) road closure at Whitstone Hill, Pilton which commenced on 9th March 2026 - 13th March 2026 (00:00 - 23:59) for a total of 5 days.

This will enable Kier to carry out drainage works on behalf of Somerset Highways. 

The contractor has indicated that access for Emergency Services through the site  is not permitted on this occasion.

The order becomes effective on 25th March 2026 and will remain in force for eighteen months.

The works are expected to commence on 2nd April 2026 and last for 1 night (18:30 - 06:00) to enable Wessex Water to carry out remedial works.

The contractor has indicated that access for Emergency Services through the site is not permitted on this occasion.
