North Wootton is a village of about 300 residents located around the small river Redlake, 2.5 miles  south east of Wells, and 3.5 miles south west of Shepton Mallet in the Mendip district of Somerset.

PARISH OF NORTH WOOTTON

Temporary Closure of part of Footpath WS 7/12

TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, Somerset
Council hereby issues this Notice PROHIBITING ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along
Footpath WS 7/12, from where it leaves Tanyard Lane, in a northerly direction
for approximately 45m, due to an unsafe bridge.
The closure will take effect from 13th March 2024 has been extended until 13th September 2024.
An alternative route is available using the footpaths shown on the map below. For
further information about the closure please contact Rachel Pearce on 01823 356001.
